bunny rabbit alphabet

Way too much time has been spent the past couple of days making letter formations out of bunny rabbits (click on the image and you can see the detail better). It was fun, though. Some might say that this is not a good use of my time. But it is actually for my college project. Not simply because I like rabbits. And typography.

Managed to tick a few things off my to-do list this week, as well - did some drawings to make in to birthday cards for a couple of friends, and an anniversary present and such. So I have a vague sense of achievement for this week, so far. S'all good.

Tea and biscuits.

Over the past few days my room had become scattered with drawings of what feels like hundreds of tea cups, tea pot and biscuits. It's been quite a nice little task though. It's for this college porject I'm working on about conversation.

Another cuppa?

I've drawn these pieces to illustrate a conversation I overheard in a charity shop. About tea. But sadly I think I need to move on to another conversation now...I'm beginning to think it wasn't such a good idea to start with the strongest conversation. I've no idea what to do for the others, as yet...

Barcelona

I went to Barcelona last Sunday. It was wonderful. I don't do heat very well, so why Mum & I actually decided to go to Spain in August is beyond me! But it was all ok; had a lovely time. Took lots of photos and did some drawing. Ate lots of amazing food, and drunk lots of Sangria. Saw lots of Gaudi stuff and walked a lot, too. Loved it.

Have put a few more drawings up on Flickr. Took hundreds of photos. When I get round to it, I'd like to do some drawings from them, too. But I seem to have quite a list of things to be getting on with at the moment...

Oh, and just to reiterate, I love Barcelona.

Some love.

I feel it's about time I was slightly less self-indulgent and actually shared a bit of love about, rather than just rambling on about what I've been making. Plus...I've had an unproductive week with no work of my own to actually put up!
These two lovely ladies have both featured me on their blogs in the past, for which I am very grateful. But not only do they have wonderful blogs - more to the point, they make wonderful things.

Roska:

1. I Love Text Number 4
2. Bears Notebook

Roska's Etsy shop is full of these fantastic handmade notebooks, made with upcycled and recycled materials.

3. Mosaic No. 3

It also features a few of these mosaic pen drawings, which I have been lusting over for a few months now! You can also find her work on Flickr and on her blog.

Pretty Pretty Paper:

1. Set of 8 thank you cards
2. Elephant cards and envelopes

cevd.com is the online portfolio of invitation designer Christine Elizabeth Van Duyn, showing some of her beautiful designs. Excitingly, she has recently added some lovely gocco printed cards on her Etsy shop, Pretty Pretty Paper! Check out her blog as well :)

There, that's made me feel a bit better. I've been getting a little stressed with my college summer project. I've enjoyed doing the research for it, but now that it actually comes to starting the illustration side of it, I'm a bit stuck :/
