Windows

I've spent all afternoon drawing windows to match the doors...

Doors

So I've not really got much to share. All my time's been spent doing research for this new college brief. Research which will hopefully pay off soon and I can start getting a bit creative.

Quite a few things on the go, and struggling to know what to focus on! Today i finally got round to doing a bit of drawing for one side-project which I'd neglected until now. So, here you have it: Doors.

I like doors. And windows. If I get my act together, I might do some windows tomorrow, too.

A cut above the rest

I've been a bit quiet on here lately. I got pretty engrossed in my college brief, which is now (bar a bit of sketchbook work) finished!

Scissors: a cut above the rest. An illustrated book promoting the creativity of scissors.

So it was all based around collage, and 'cutting' expressions, phrases, words etc. Line drawings and phrases printed on to a lovely thick tracing paper, revealing the collaged image and the word 'cut' behind.

These are all the images from the book:

Pretty pleased with how it's all come together in the end.
So other than this I haven't really had time for much else. Got a couple of other projects on the go that I'm hoping to get stuck in to now this one is complete :)

There's something very satisfying about clicking on the link of one of your favourite daily blogs, and being greeted with your own work - such as when Swiss Miss featured my Bunny Rabbit Alphabet yesterday! :D

Well, I'm settling back in to the college routine again. All going well so far. The new brief is all about these:
And I've decided to go down the route of cutting puns/expressions/sayings along the lines of this:
A cut above the rest, Cut the mustard, Power cut, Price Cut, Cut your losses...the list goes on! More pictures to follow when I actually know what I'm doing...
Much of my morning was spent drawing cutlery, a cutlass, a cutlet of meat and a cuttlefish.
